Day 6:  Nature*

Now is the time to come out of the house and into nature, and, bring some nature back home with us.

Nature in its beauty, wildness and magnificence is God's greatest gift to us and constantly invites us into her space to experience gratitude for, and unity with, all of creation. Nature calms, inspires, refreshes and purifies the energy of a home or office; bringing creativity into our rooms.

Each season provides an extraordinary palette of landscape and climate changes; bringing its own unique surprises and exquisite colors. Along with the change of colors, each season has specific plants and flowers, fruits and vegetables.

Application

Take time to get into nature.  Get out of your car, and sit or walk in nature.  Find a quiet place to just BE.  Take the time to notice what's around you. *

*Of course if you have allergies like I do, be mindful.  Being outside during this season can actually be dangerous to your health!  Wait until the pollen count lowers in your town.

Buy yourself some plants for the house.  If you believe you have a brown thumb, here are 11 easy to grow houseplants to invest in that will add a nice pop of color to your home and can withstand a little neglect.

Growing an indoor herb garden is easy to do and have the added and economical benefit of having fresh herbs right there in your kitchen to use while you cook.

Pick up some flowers for your space from your local florist or market.  Cut the stems to vase size and place two 1-3 flowers in vases around your house: by your bed, in the kitchen, in the bathroom.  If you have artificial flowers, consider replacing some of them with real ones and feel the energetic changes.  Bring a little nature indoors.  It's always nice to see beauty wherever you go.

Are you a pet person?  They are such a perfect conduit of  unconditional love.  I am the human mother to three dogs--two German Shepherds and one little Shi-poo.  Every day they greet me with their big brown eyes and wagging tails.  They bring me so much joy. And walking your pets is not only great exercise, but another opportunity to bring healing energy from nature into your life.

Question?

  • What season(s) are you drawn to and why?

  • What from nature do you have at the office? Plants are life force -- they help elevate the oxygen levels and brighten up monochromatic workspaces. If you have a home office, add fresh flowers occasionally or keep a plant nearby.

  • Do you have a garden? Do you support farmers' markets? They are a great source for organic fruits & veggie, plants and flowers. Always choose organic because the energy is purer.

  • What color palettes in nature would you like to bring indoors to your space?

Reflections

  • On a scale of 1-10, 10 being often, how much time do you spend outdoors for pleasure?

  • When you were a child, what were some outdoor activities you liked, if any?

  • Do you have a nature phobia? If so, what about nature do you dislike? When did it start?

  • If you love being outside but don't get enough chances to, how can you remedy that?

As always I hope this was helpful and sparked some new thoughts for you.  Please feel free to reach out to me via Facebook, Instagram or shoot me an email, and let me know your thoughts.

*NOTE:  I call today 'bridge day" because I want you to practice the nature principles the 6th and 7th day.

Love, Peace and Prosperity...
